This option typically has less customization because you usually have to choose from one of several floor plans, exterior styles and packages for appliances, floor covering etc.

Semi-Custom home in a subdivision. This option involves you purchasing land in a subdivision that does not limit which builders can build houses. You are still somewhat limited to choosing from one of several floor plans etc. Your house will look like other houses the same builder has built in other subdivisions around Orlando but your house won’t look as much like all the other houses in your neighborhood.

Custom home. You pick the land. Hire an architect who specializes in residential construction and then hire any custom builder and you’ll end up with a truly one of a kind custom dream home.
